The SILKOT 70-80 machine is intended for repairing potholes and other faults in asphalt roadways. The basic and most important parts of the machine are the insulated heating hopper for approx. 1.1 m3 of recyclate and the rear fold down heater hood. Other construction features are the twin-axle chassis with fold down ramp for roller, the lifting and carrying construction for folding away the rear hood, the gas system with three LPG tanks, the electrical system with a battery, recharging source and control boxes with components ensuring the machine running.

One great advantage of this technology is that it uses waste from cutting the asphalt roadway – recyclate. In the insulated heated hopper the recyclate is heated to a temperature of 150 - 160°C, enough to avoid burning the old asphalt and spoiling it. With our equipment this heated recyclate is then reused and has almost the same quality as bituminous road repairs. This technology can be used successfully even in freezing winter weather at temperatures as low as -10°C. It is simple to operate the machine and carry out repairs. The machine only requires two trained personnel to operate it. The repaired area will not crack any further.
